As a Union fan, I really REALLY hope not. I've seen him play for NYRB, and I'd bet a cardboard cut-out of him could do a better job. Please Please Please a no for this one.

It sounds like you're creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place

Don't get Conway, he is an awful goal keeper. Many times have I seen him fail to make saves that a keeper his size should make

Jeff Parke would be an excellent get for the Union. He is a quality defender. He was upset that Seattle drafted him and he showed up very, very, very (for emphasis) late because he went to Europe to try to catch on with a team there.

Unfortunately for him, no team picked him up and by the time he came back to Seattle, the Sounders had already traded for Tyrone Marshall, Patrick Ianni and signed John Kennedy Hurtado from Colombia. So, there wasn't a need to pay him the contract that he wanted.

He did go up to Vancouver, but he just left the team this week.

If the Union are able to pick him, he would not have to sit out any more games of the suspension. I know this only because we wonder the same thing when we thought he was going to play for Seattle. The "Powers that be" from USA Soccer came out with a statement that missing USL games would count toward his suspension. So, he would be ready to go, provided he doesn't end up in Europe as he is trying again to do.
