Fox Force Five …
By: Andrew | January 25th, 2010One day there were three tomatoes are walking down the street … a papa tomato, a mama tomato, and a little baby tomato. Baby tomato starts lagging behind. Papa tomato gets angry, goes over to the baby tomato, squishes him, and says …
“KETCHUP!”
Whew, has it been over a month since I last posted something on here? My apologies to all my loyal followers for the lack of info and updates, being that so much has transpired in these past few weeks.
So here we are, 2 months until the First Kick out in Seattle, and the roster is now made up of nineteen names, including recently signed defender Danny Califf and the happy half-dozen draftees, four of which I had the pleasure to meet in person (thanks to the team) at a local watering hole the night they were drafted: Danny Mwanga, Amobi Okugo, Brian Perk, and Jack “Mack Attack” McInerney. Rumors abound of possible players coming to the team, such as Michael Orozco, Roger Torres, Raul (Gonzalez Blanco), and Clarence Seedorf. The stadium construction down at Seaport Drive is ongoing – field lighting is currently being installed on the cantilevered roof supports – with a rumored July 4th weekend second “home opener”. Season ticket holders have finally been afforded the opportunity to choose their seating location in the stadium, with yours truly staking his claim in Section 109. And speaking of tickets, team officials are saying approximately 9,100 seats have been sold so far, comparable to Toronto FC’s ticket count at this time prior to their inaugural season.
Consider this my belated New Year’s resolution to keep the blog entries coming on a frequent basis.

Thanks for the updates.
Roger Torres?

Yeah, E … Roger Torres, the Columbian midfielder currently playing for America de Cali. I read something back in November that his club is having financial troubles and might be selling off a few guys.
It’s all rumor and speculation, but I thought I’d toss his name out there. The Union is pretty congested in the midfield at the moment, so I wouldn’t hedge my bets on Nowak et al bringing Torres in.
