The Home Away From Home.

I shall try my best to have a preview up tomorrow for our “home” opener…but in the mean time a few bits of news.

US Open Cup: Tuesday, April 27 at 8 p.m. has been set for our meeting with Red Bull. If you’re familiar with our schedule you’ll note that this is only three days after we play at Red Bull Arena on April 24th. Honestly, I kinda like the fact that we’re playing both games so close together. Game 1 isn’t going to be easy. New York is gel’n and we’ll probably still be trying to figure out if Mwanga should try some time at trainer or team doctor. Assuming we loose, we’ll at least have the benefit of familiarity to correct what went wrong. Our team is young and since nothing is set in stone, I don’t think anything will be thrown off, chemistry wise, by mixing and matching fresh legs for the 2nd game. Should be pretty exciting.

Speaking of Schedules, the tv spots are out:

Still now word if we’ve officially signed Christian Arrieta, Danny Szetela, or Lionel Messi, for that matter. I’m assuming, and hope, they will be in the next day or so and suit up on Sat for us.

I have it on good authority that Messi WILL be signing for the Union.

He will be bringing with him a fine, fat swine that can fly as high as an eagle.

    Can’t wait for Saturday!
