In exactly 24 hours from the writing of this post, the fans will be in full voice and ready to cheer on either the Canadian or Honduran national teams.

Wait, wait, that’s not right. Let me start over. Ahem …

In exactly 26 hours from the writing of this post, the fans will be in full voice and ready to cheer on the Red, White, and Blue as the United States takes on Panama in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Now is the time to show the nay-sayers that a strong, passionate fanbase is starving for top-flight soccer in the City of Brotherly Love. Now is the time to reassure the team ownership that Philadelphia was the right choice for the league’s 16th franchise.

And in honor of the opposing team, now is the time when we dance.
